O presente trabalho pauta-se em uma discussão acerca do contexto da literatura hispanoamericana
do século XX (em especial, a de Alejo Carpentier) sob uma ótica histórica. Para tal
tarefa, enfocamos uma obra do autor, o romance Concerto Barroco, de 1974. Estruturamos
nosso texto em três partes: a primeira trata de alguns tópicos de intersecção entre a Literatura
sui generis e a História. Em seguida, restringimos a Literatura ao contexto hispano-americano,
para discuti-la sob um prisma analÃtico, no que diz respeito a suas conexões com o discurso
histórico. Por fim, analisamos o romance carpentieriano Concerto Barroco, partindo de
conceitos fundamentais da teoria sobre a metaficção historiográfica.
This work is guided into a discussion about the context of the Hispano-American literature of
the twentieth century (in particular, Alejo Carpentier) in a historical perspective. For this task,
we focus on an author's work, the novel Concert Baroque, 1974. We structure our text into
three parts: the first deals with some topics of intersection between the sui generis Literature
and History. Next, we restrict the Literature Hispanic-American context, to discuss it in an
analytical perspective, with regard to their connections with the historical discourse. Finally,
we analyze the novel Concert Baroque, from basic concepts of the theory of historiographic
metafiction.
