Max Martins, poet from Belem, Brazil (was born – 1926, died – 2009), wrote 48 journals between 1982 and 1999, notebooks filled with collages, a source for his poetic and pictorial creations. Using the notebooks, I sought to classify the central themes: the Friendship, Eroticism, and Nature. The last theme, which this article will investigate, binds the interest of the poet by Taoism, Buddhism and oriental poetry, which he sought to incorporate into his life and poems. But he is also placed in the Amazon forest represented by the daily life on Marahu beach where dwelt in his cabin.
