This work aimed to obtain information on the availability, nutrient uptake and distribution and nutritional status of three soybean cultivars, before and at the beginning of the reforestation, at two sowing times, with two fertilities and with different plant populations and spacing. The experiment was conducted in Santa Maria, located in the Central Depression of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, using soybean varieties " IAS-2 ", " Bragg " and " Hardee"Which received the same temperature intensities, rainfall and light rainfall. The conditions of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry; phosphorus by colorimetry and potassium by flame photometry. The chemical composition of the foliar analysis of the period between the vegetative phase and the reproductive phase shows the high requirement, the translocation and the variability of the contents of the elements according to the studied cultivar.
