Partindo da constatação de que o conceito de Salvação, presente hoje na maioria das pessoas, passa pela imagem de um Deus que envia seu Filho para a morte, analisa-se o sentido do sacrifício no AT e NT mostrando afinidades e diferenças. Constata-se como a Teologia de Ratzinger e o Catecismo da Igreja Católica concede pistas para se entender o sentido profundo da Redenção, compreendendo melhor a relação entre sacrifício e doação. Analisam-se os motivos contingenciais que levaram Jesus à morte de cruz e o seu aspecto profético-político, mostrando como esta foi consequência do pecado e não um programa pré-constituído, contribuindo, assim, para “desfazer” a imagem de um “deus carrasco” e valorizando mais os aspectos da Encarnação e de um Deus Amor, que deve estar mais presente nas homilias e catequese, convidando a assumir com maior força profética o seguimento de Jesus Cristo.
Departing from de concept, present in the mind of greater number of our people today, that the Redemption takes us the image of a God that sends his Son to the dead, we analyze the meaning of the sacrifice in the OT and NT, showing their affinities and differences, we considered as the theology of Ratzinger and Catechism of Catholic Church offer ways to understand the deep mean of redemption, understanding better the relation between sacrifice and gift, we go to analyze the historical reasons that lead Jesus to the dead of cross and their political/prophetic aspects, showing as the dead of cross was a consequence of the sin and not a program before designed, contributing to destroy the image of a “cruel god” and giving more value to the mystery of incarnation and of a God Love, that must be more present in our catechesis and sermons, inviting to assume with more prophetic strength the following of Jesus Christ.
