Como a apropriação da
morte pelos jogos do poder pode
transformar um evento que,
biologicamente nos iguala, em um
diferenciador eficiente entre os que
estão vivos? Como a vida social pode
ser influenciada pela forma com que
edita o processo doença, morte,
enterro? Neste texto, discutimos
essas questões tendo como referência
o episódio da morte de Tancredo
Neves, em 1985, no contexto do fim
da ditadura civil-militar de 1964, no
Brasil. Usamos como fonte a
documentação da imprensa nacional
e local produzida naquele perÃodo.
As the ownership of

discuss these issues with reference to
the episode of the death of
Tancredo Neves, in 1985, in the
context of the end of the civilmilitary
dictatorship of 1964, in
Brazil. We use the documentation as
a source of national and local media
produced in that period.
