A ciência acaba perdendo força e vitalidade quando erigida pelo positivismo em única responsável legítima por todo conhecimento verdadeiro, em dona absoluta e divina de todo saber, por não se deixar fertilizar pelo diálogo com o mito e a filosofia, a arte e os saberes comuns, as experiências humanas, o imanente e o transcendente..., isto é, com outras formas e práticas de conhecimento. Neste texto, a crítica ao cientificismo busca como resultado a recomposição de um espaço possível para o reconhecimento da narrativa jornalística como parte do esforço de compreensão do mundo, no âmbito de uma discussão sobre o jornalismo como forma de conhecimento. Metodologicamente, o suporte em referências bibliográficas se soma ao exame de textos jornalísticos de cujo potencial cognitivo é raro se poder duvidar. De natureza reflexiva e conversacional, o texto namora com a proposta compreensiva do ensaio e com as potencialidades da linguagem jornalística.
Science ends on losing strength and vitality when erected by positivism as sole legitimate responsible for all true knowledge, in absolute and divine owner of all knowing, by not allowing itself to be fertilized by dialogue with myth and philosophy, art and common knowledge, human experiences, the immanent and the transcendent…that is, with other forms and practices of knowledge. In this text, the critique of scientism seeks as a result the recomposition of a possible space for the recognition of the journalistic narrative as part of the effort to understand the world, in the context of a discussion about journalism as a form of knowledge. Methodologically, the support in bibliographical references is added to the examination of journalistic texts of whose cognitive potential it is rare to be able to doubt. Of a reflexive and conversational nature, the text matches with the comprehensive proposal of the essay and with the potentialities of the journalistic language.
