Em 2016, o Serviço Educativo do Museu Republicano Convenção de Itu/USP passou a receber no museu um grupo de artesãs que se reúne para bordar, tecer e contar histórias. A partir de uma curadoria coletiva, com a equipe do museu e artesãs, em 18 de abril de 2017 abrimos uma exposição chamada “Boca do Sertão: Memórias Bordadas”. Neste artigo, vamos apresentar reflexões sobre esta experiência.
In 2016, the Educational Service of the Republican Museum Convention of Itu/USP, started to welcome to the museum a group of artisans who get together to embroider, weave and tell stories. With a collective curation along with the museum staff and the artisans, in 18th April 2017 we launched and exhibition called “Boca do Sertão: Memórias Bordadas” (Outback tales: embroidered memoirs).
