Pauta de extrema relevância na agenda internacional é a que diz respeito aos refugiados. Trata-se de tema que envolve praticamente todos os países do mundo e que, apesar disso, não recebeu o tratamento legislativo adequado. Já há uma certa deficiência na regulação dos refugiados em sentido amplo e, no tocante aos refugiados ambientais, a lacuna é ainda mais agravada e inesperada. Diante disso, faz-se aqui um levantamento a respeito de como o tema vem sendo visto e enfrentado tanto pela comunidade internacional como pela legislação brasileira.
It is a matter of extreme relevance on the international agenda that concerns refugees.This is a topic that involves virtually every country in the world and yet they have not received adequate legislative treatment. There is already a certain deficiency in the regulation of refugees in the broad sense and, as far as environmental refugees are concerned, the gap is even more aggravated and unexpected. In view of this, a survey is made here about how the issue has been viewed and faced by both the international community and Brazilian legislation.
