O artigo tem por objetivo divulgar os principais resultados de uma pesquisa empírica realizada com 102 empresas, atuantes na atividade moveleira, no município de Campos dos Goytacazes, norte do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. O objetivo desta investigação consiste em identificar os fatores determinantes para as empresas inseridas no Arranjo Produtivo Local moveleiro em Campos dos Goytacazes. As possibilidades de dinamização da atividade moveleira na região estão ligadas ao enfrentamento de fatores cruciais, tais como melhoria das condições de infra-estrutura, do capital humano, a criação de mecanismos de coordenação e das relações de cooperação.
The article has the purpose of communicating the main results of an empirical research carried out with 102 companies operating in the furniture production activity in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, north of the State of Rio de Janeiro. The objective of this inquiry is the identification of the major determinants for the companies participating in the Local Furniture Productive Arrangement in Campos dos Goytacazes. The possibilities of expanding the furniture production in the region imply overcoming decisive factors such as improvement of the infrastructure conditions and human capital, the creation of mechanisms of coordination and cooperation.
