A NOVA HISTÓRIA INDÍGENA: UM OLHAR ATEMPORAL

O artigo analisa aspectos relacionados à nova história indígena, contudo, de uma maneira atemporal, exaltando o protagonismo indígena em diferentes momentos, tomando como narrativa uma etno-história desses povos. No texto, evidencia-se os conceitos de resistência, protagonismo, etno-história e alteridade, tendo como pano de fundo diversas passagens do índio enquanto sujeito histórico atuante, diferente do que geralmente é representado nos livros didáticos e por determinados segmentos da sociedade civil. Outro elemento que o texto procurou descortinar é a importância do olhar da Antropologia neste processo, tendo como base referenciais teóricos que dão ao texto um caráter interdisciplinar necessário. A narrativa e a análise do texto não se preocuparam com uma linha cronológica dos fatos, mas com especificidades importantes em diferentes momentos e circunstâncias destes povos, onde procuramos explicitar o lugar do índio na história, que por séculos foi negado em um processo violento, abusivo e, acima de tudo, cruel, feito pelas mãos do próprio ser humano.

The article analyzes aspects related to the new indigenous history, however, in a timeless way, exalting the indigenous protagonism in different moments, taking as narrative an ethno-history of these people. In the text evidence the concepts of resistance, protagonism, ethnohistory and otherness are revealed, having as background the several passages of the Indian as an historical subject that is active, different from what is usually represented in textbooks and by certain segments of civil society. Another element that the text sought to uncover is the importance of the anthropological view in this process, based on theoretical references that give the text a necessary interdisciplinary character. The narrative and the analysis of the text has not concerned with a chronological line of the facts, but with specific specificities in different moments and circumstances of these peoples, where we tried to explain the place of the Indian in history, which for centuries was denied in a violent, abusive process and, above all, cruel, made by the hands of the human being himself.
