Este texto vincula­se à pesquisa “História e ofício de alfabetizadoras: Ituiutaba 1931­1961”, esta
é caracterizada no âmbito da produção historiográfica correspondente à história da formação
docente das professoras alfabetizadoras que atuaram no município de Ituiutaba­MG no período
entre 1931 a 1961, período pelo qual o país passava por  dificuldades quanto à alfabetização da
população e quanto à formação dos professores, principalmente nas cidades  do interior que é
o foco desse estudo. Com o auxílio da história oral, procuro revelar por meio dos depoimentos
dos sujeitos que vivenciaram esse momento histórico onde e como se deu a formação docente
das alfabetizadoras do período em questão. A pesquisa contempla e caracteriza três importantes
instituições que se ocuparam da formação docente no período.

This text links to the search “History and letter of female primary school agents: Ituiutaba 1931­
1961”,  this  is  characterized  as  part  of  the  historiographic  production  corresponding  to  the
history of teacher training of teachers female primary school agents who acted in the municipality
of  Ituiutaba­MG  in  the period  from  1931  to  1961, by which  time  the  country was  through
difficulties on the literacy of the population and the training of teachers, mainly in the interior
which is the focus of  this study. With the help of  oral history, try to prove through the testimony
of  subjects who  experienced  this historic moment where  and how  they gave  the  training of
female  primary  school  agents  the  period  in  question. The  survey  covers  and  features  three
important institutions that have dealt with teacher training in the period.
