O presente artigo objetiva refletir a respeito da influência do ambiente carcerário no processo de ressocialização do sujeito que
permaneceu aprisionado por algum período de tempo. A partir de uma revisão da literatura especializada no tema, também
analisa como se dão as relações de poder dentro da instituição prisional e o trabalho realizado pela disciplina carcerária, o
qual objetiva uma ressocialização de qualidade desse sujeito. No entanto, na maioria das vezes, essa ressocialização não
acontece, devido as situações precárias em que se encontram os presídios, fazendo com que o encarcerado, ao se deparar com a
sociedade, se encontre desambientado e despreparado para nela se reinserir, por se sentir excluído. Por isso, é importante que o
cumprimento da pena ocorra de maneira humanizada, preservando os direitos desse sujeito dentro do cárcere, para a promoção
de resultados satisfatórios tanto para ex-detento quanto para a sociedade na qual ele vai se inserir.
This article aims to reflect on the influence of the prison environment in the process of resocialization of the subject who remained
imprisoned for some period of time. From a review of the specialized literature on the topic, it also analyzes how the power
relations within the prison institution and the work carried out by prison discipline take place, which aims at a resocialization
of the quality of this subject. However, most of the time, this resocialization does not happen, due to the precarious situations in
which prisons are found, causing the incarcerated, when faced with society, is unadjusted and unprepared to reinsert, because it
is feel excluded. Therefore, it is important that the fulfillment of the sentence occurs in a humanized way, preserving the rights
of this subject within the prison, for the promotion of satisfactory results for both the former inmate and for the society in which
he will be inserted.
