O presente artigo tem por objetivo abordar o processo histórico e a eficácia do instituto do amicus curiae no ordenamento jurídico pátrio em diálogo com o texto “The Courts, amicus curiae legitimacy and deliberative democracy: the case of Uganda and Brazil”, de Christopher Mbazira, introduzindo os conceitos de democracia representativa e da democracia deliberativa desenvolvidos pelo autor.
The present article aims to approach the historical process and the efficiency of the amicus curiae institute in the law system dialoguing with the study “The Courts, amicus curiae legitimacy and deliberative democracy: The case of Uganda and Brazil” by Christopher Mbazira, introducing the concepts of representative democracy and deliberative democracy articulated by the author.
