A presente proposta investigativa objetiva apresentar elementos de reflexão sobre a Política de Assistência Social e o trabalho dos/as Assistentes Sociais, frente a pandemia da COVID-19. É sobretudo, um manifesto reflexivo sobre as contradições do projeto burguês para a Política de Assistência Social e o trabalho do Serviço Social no SUAS, que deve somar-se a voz de milhares de trabalhadores, por vezes desassistidos e assistidos pela própria Política de Assistência Social, revelando a precarização, que se agrava com a chegada do cenário pandêmico. Convidamos os leitores, não apenas para refletir sobre a realidade dos trabalhadores do SUAS, da qual o Serviço Social faz parte, mas a pensarem estratégias que possam culminar com a superação da ordem capitalista, em tempos de pandemia do novo coronavírus. O método que alicerça este estudo é o materialismo histórico dialético, o qual nos subsidia na compreensão da realidade posta.
This research proposal aims to present elements for reflection on Social Assistance Policy and the work of Social Workers in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is, above all, a reflective manifesto on the contradictions of the bourgeois project for Social Assistance Policy and the work of Social Work in the SUAS (National Health System). This manifesto should be accompanied by the voices of thousands of workers, sometimes both unassisted and assisted by Social Assistance Policy itself, revealing the precariousness that is worsened by the arrival of the pandemic. We invite readers not only to reflect on the reality of SUAS workers, of which Social Work is a part, but also to consider strategies that can culminate in overcoming the capitalist order in times of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The method that underpins this study is dialectical historical materialism, which supports our understanding of the current reality.
