O artigo analisa a Constituição dirigente e a proteção do meio ambiente, bem como suas caracterÃsticas e fragilidades diante da realidade globalizada em que se vive. Para tanto, optou-se partir do estudo da soberania, na modernidade e no mundo contemporâneo, para compreender a Democracia constitucional os traços da Constituição garantia para então, enfim, estudar a importância da Constituição dirigente na proteção do meio ambiente à luz da sustentabilidade. A compreensão da soberania e a função da Constituição bem como, da Constituição dirigente no mundo globalizado representam aportes teóricos necessários à proteção ao meio ambiente, da sustentabilidade e à manutenção da vida, ou da vida boa.
The article analyzes the constitution directive and the protection of the
environment characteristics and weaknesses facing the global reality in which we live.
Therefore, it was decided from the study of sovereignty, modernity and the contemporary
world, to understand the constitutional democracy traces of the Constitution it is
guarantee the study of the importance of the Constitution directive in environmental
protection in the light of sustainability. Understanding the sovereignty and the role of
the Constitution as well as the ruling Constitution in the globalized world, represents
theoretical contributions necessary to protect the environment, sustainability and finally
the maintenance of life, or the good life.
