Em muitas obras literárias, o homoerotismo se manifesta através de um olhar seduzido, revelado pela sensibilidade de um artista. A contemplação do corpo belo produz um efeito erótico, sob o olhar daquele que procura a perfeição na arte. A novela A Morte em Veneza, de Thomas Mann, revela o homoerotismo como um desejo artístico, sublimado. As representações do corpo grego, apolíneo são uma metáfora da tentativa de capturar o belo artístico. Este trabalho pretende, pois, discutir o amor platônico do artista Aschenbach pelo adolescente Tadzio, sob o viés da interdição.

In many literary works, the homoeroticism emerges from a seductive look, which is revealed through the sensitiveness of an artist. The contemplation of the attractive body produces an erotic effect, through the look of someone that searches the perfection in the art. The novel Death in Venice, by Thomas Mann, shows up the homoeroticism as an artistic, sublime desire. The representations of the Greek body, “an appolo man”, are a metaphor of the attempt of capturing the artistic beauty. This work intends, then, to discuss the artist Aschenbach’s platonic love for the adolescent Tadzio, under the prism of the interdiction.
