O artigo tem por objetivo analisar, nos contos “Amores de um
ventríloquo”, de Moacyr Scliar, e “Sexo com amor”, de André Sant’Anna, a
representação do corpo como canal de manifestação da insegurança e inexperiência masculina. O método de análise é o descritivo analítico baseado em
teorias sociais sobre representações masculinas (estudos das masculinidades).
Desse modo, a análise dos contos demonstra a afirmação do porte físico dos
personagens que trazem, seja pelo excesso ou pela carência da força física,
essa insegurança que, em algumas situações, pode se externar em violência
como autoafirmação. Como resultado dessa leitura, o corpo é depreendido
por meio de representações que trazem a perspectiva de experiência ou
inexperiência e pelo desejo de satisfação sexual mediante o corpo alheio.
The article aims to analyze, in short stories written by Moacyr Scliar and André Sant’Anna,
the representation of the body as a channel for the manifestation of male insecurity. The method
of analysis is the analytical descriptive based on social theories about masculinities representation
(men’s studies). Thus, the analysis of short stories demonstrates the affirmation of the characters
physical size bringing, by the excess or the lack of physical strength, a insecurity that in some
situations manifests violence as self-assertion. As a result of this reading, the body is understood
from representations that bring the perspective of experience and inexperience and by the desire
for sexual satisfaction from the other body.
