Este texto trata de demonstrar que o conceito de mimese presente na Poética de Aristóteles pode ser esclarecido pela relação com outros tratados do autor, nos quais se explora a imaginação enquanto potência da alma. Para isso, destacamos passagens importantes da poética, a partir das quais se tecem as relações com os demais textos. Conclui-se que uma investigação mais aprofundada sobre a imaginação pode trazer luz ao conceito de mimese da Poética, que não recebe definição naquele tratado.
Resumo Inglês:
This paper aims to demonstrate that the concept of mimesis in Aristotle’s Poetics may be clarified if related to other treatises of his, on which he inquires imagination as a potency of the soul. To achieve this aim, we highlight important moments of the Poetics, which are then related with other treatises. We conclude that a deeper research on imagination may shed light on the concept of mimesis present in the Poetics, which per se does not receive an exact definition by the author in that particular treatise.
