Rebeldes, insubordinados, partidários e irreverentes, é esta a impressão que se tem de alguns oficiais, quando da apreciação dos ofícios e correspondências dos comandantes da Guarda Nacional da Paraíba aos presidentes da província. Através de pequenos relatos e episódios corriqueiros presentes na documentação, tentaremos reconstituir as relações internas da milícia priorizando os guardas que estavam inseridos numa hierarquia maior, neste caso, os que ocupavam postos de oficiais da Guarda Nacional. A escolha do recorte justifica-se tendo em vista que a partir de 1834-1849 a documentação oferece-nos indícios sobre como se relacionavam os oficiais da Guarda Nacional.
Rebellious, insubordinate, supporters and irreverent, this is the impression one gets from some officers, when assessing the letters and correspondence of the commanders of the Natinal Guard of Paraíba to the presidents of the province. Through small stories and everyday episodes present in the documentation, try to construct the internal relations of the militia prioritizing the guards who were higher in a hierarchy, in the case, the officers were at the National Guard. The choice of cut is justified considering that from 1834-1849 the documentation gives us clues about how related to National Guard officers.
