As mudanças climáticas podem afetar a produção agropecuária de diferentes formas, neste sentido, investidores têm demandado mais informações acerca do reporte dos riscos climáticos. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar o disclosure do risco climático nascompanhias do setor agropecuário não industrial listados na Bolsa de Valores Brasileira nos anos 2016 a 2018. A pesquisa se caracteriza como descritiva do tipo qualitativa. Os resultados indicam que 67% não reportam enquanto 33% evidenciam os riscos climáticos. Não foram identificados riscos relacionados às estratégias de mudança da matriz energética. As contribuições do estudo sinalizam a necessidade de aumento da evidenciação e regulamentação dos riscos climáticos no segmento agropecuário para atender a demanda não somente de investidores como também da sociedade. A agropecuária concentra um volume considerável de emissões de gases de efeito estufa no Brasil e existem eminentes riscos de desestabilidade dos sistemas alimentares mundiais.
Climate change can affect agricultural production in different ways; in this sense, investors have demanded more information about the reporting of climate risks. The aim of this study was to verify the disclosure of climate risk in companies in the non-industrial agricultural sector listed on the Brazilian Stock Exchange in the years 2016 to 2018. The research is characterized as descriptive of the qualitative type. The results indicate that 67% do not report, while 33% show climate risks. No risks related to energy matrix change strategies were identified. The contributions of the study indicate the need to increase the evidence and regulation of climate risks inthe agricultural segment to meet the demand not only of investors but also of society. Agriculture concentrates a considerable volume of greenhouse gas emissions in Brazil and there are imminent risks of global food system instability.
