O ENSINO DA BUROCRACIA: UM ESTUDO DE CASO TEÓRICO-EMPÍRICO

O artigo tem por objetivo identificar o nível de burocratização em organizações, sob o
ponto de vista dos alunos da disciplina Teorias da Administração, do primeiro período do
Curso de Administração da Universidade do Vale do Itajaí – UNIVALI. Tal objetivo foi
proposto com o intuito de que os alunos pudessem identificar, junto às organizações, características da burocracia discutidas em sala de aula. Em seus estudos, Weber (1978) não
se preocupou em definir burocracia, preferiu conceituá-la por meio da enumeração de
suas características. Por isso, o entendimento da burocracia passa pela identificação de suas
características dentro de um contínuo onde não há presença ou ausência, mas sim, diferentes níveis de burocratização. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos, a pesquisa foi do tipo quantitativa e de caráter descritivo. Embora a burocracia seja um requisito para a
caracterização de sistemas sociais organizados, suas dimensões não necessariamente precisam estar presentes na sua totalidade, mas sim, em determinadas dimensões com maior ou
menor intensidade. Da mesma forma, a presença de uma característica não necessariamente implica na presença ou ausência de outra.

The article has for objective to identify the level of bureaucratization in organizations,
under the point of view of the pupils of disciplines Theories of the Administration, of the
first period of the Course of Administration of the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí – -
UNIVALI. Such objective was considered with the intention of that the pupils could identify,
together to the organizations, argued characteristics of the bureaucracy in classroom. In
its studies, Weber (1978) was not worried in defining bureaucracy, preferred to appraise it
by means of the enumeration of its characteristics. Therefore, the agreement of the
bureaucracy passes inside for the identification of its characteristics of a continuous where
it does not have presence or absence, but yes, different levels of bureaucratization. How
much to the methodologicals procedures, the research was of the quantitative type and
descriptive character. Although the bureaucracy is a requirement for characterization of
organized social systems, its dimensions not necessarily need to be gifts in its totality, but
yes, in determined dimensions with greater or minor intensity. In the same way, the presence
of a characteristic not necessarily implies in the presence or absence of another one.
