O ENSINO DE HISTÓRIA NAS 3ªs SÉRIES DAS ESCOLAS MUNICIPAIS: Entre a proposta curricular e as práticas

Este artigo apresenta parte de uma pesquisa desenvolvida em 2003 e 2004, sobre o
ensino da História local nas 3ªs séries do ensino fundamental nas escolas municipais Mário A.
Araújo Silva, Cecy Cardoso Porfírio e Guarda Antônio R. do Nascimento na cidade de Uberlândia.
Esboçamos primeiramente uma breve historicização e algumas características da proposta
curricular do município, para depois investigarmos a implementação desta proposta por meio de
reflexões acerca dos materiais didáticos adotados pelas professoras, apresentando outras
interpretações para as temáticas estudadas a partir das produções acadêmicas sobre a história da
cidade. Discutiremos também os limites da formação docente que dificulta a concretização da
proposta curricular e a efetivação de um ensino de História local crítico.

Resumo Inglês:

This article presents part of a research developed in 2003 and 2004 about the teaching
of local History in the third grades of the elementary public schools of Uberlândia-MG. Firstly we
show a brief history and some characteristics of the city curricular proposal. Secondly we
investigate its implementation reflecting on the didactic material adopted by the teachers. We, then,
present other interpretations for the studied themes having used some academic productions about
the city history. We also discuss the limits of the teacher’s continuing studies what makes it difficult
to accomplish a curricular proposal and a critical local History teaching.
