Resumos Cadastrados

Ermos e Gerais, published in 1944 by Bernard Élis, presents several short stories whose plots bring the social denouncement of misfortunes through the exposition of the forgotten landless men, oppressed by the land owners in the badlands of Goiás and who become their owners. It is in this perspective of power over the life of the sertanejo men that this work investigates, through symbolic hermeneutics, the short story “O caso inexplicável da orelha de Lolô”. We intend to point out the relationship between the myth of the Moiras and the entanglement of the characters Anízio, Branca, and Lolô constructed in the network of unusual signification that is weaved in this story.
