Na linguagem popular, a parábola é uma história contada com efeito comparativo, cujo objetivo é apresentar um ensinamento. Seu entendimento pressupõe que os ouvintes estejam dispostos a seguir as ideias do interlocutor, para que possam entender o ponto de semelhança entre a imagem e a coisa em si. Não há erro com esta definição. Mas ela pode transmitir a ideia de que a parábola é fácil de interpretar. Pelo contrário, é um dos gêneros literários mais difíceis de analisar. Suas conexões com a cultura popular e com ideias comumente difundidas em uma sociedade nem sempre são fáceis de descobrir. Além disso, também pode ser necessário considerar detalhes envolvendo a intertextualidade. Este artigo pretende analisar a passagem de Lc 16,19-31 sob a noção da intertextualidade Lucas / Atos. Além disso, destacará os contextos políticos e econômicos da época do autor e os paralelos dessa passagem em um conto egípcio do primeiro século; em uma história do Talmude Palestino e no trabalho de Luciano.

In popular language, the parable is a story told with a comparison effect, whose objective is to present a teaching. Their understanding presupposes that listeners are willing to follow the speaker’s ideas so that they can understand the point of similarity between the image and the thing itself. There is no mistake with this definition. But it can convey the idea that the par able is easy to interpret. On the contrary, it is one of the most difficult literary genres to analyze. Its connections with popular culture and with ideas commonly spread in a society are not always easy to discover. In addition, there may also be a need to consider details involving intertextuality. This article intends to analyze the passage of Lc 16,19-31 under the notion of intertextualityLuke/ Acts. In addition, it will highlight the political and economic contexts of the author’s time and the parallels of this passage in a first-century Egyptian tale; in a history of the of the Palestinian Talmud and in Luciano’s work.
