O artigo apresenta o imaginário social construído sobre o povo Misak a partir dos diversos conteúdos hipermedia que existem no ciberespaço, além de analisar quais são as formas de representação como os significados contidos nessas produções digitais. Isto é, uma aproximação das comunidades indígenas na cibercultura. A pesquisa é netnográfica e a construção teórico-metodológica fundamenta-se na semiótica da cultura. Desse modo, o imaginário social sobre o indígena é tecido em quatro espirais (elementos) fundamentais para o entendimento da extensão de seu território e saberes Misak. Finalmente, se espera estimular outros pesquisadores a seguir trilhando caminhos que permitam compreender nossa sociedade, imersa em processos de mudanças que cruzam território físico e o ciberespaço.
The article focuses on the construction of the social imaginary about the Misak indigenous people, based on the different hypermedia contents in cyberspace. Also, it analyzes what are the forms of representation and the meanings immersed in digital productions. The methodology is netnographic in the light of the semiotics of culture. Therefore, the social imaginary about the indigenous is woven into four spirals (elements) fundamental to understanding the extent of their territory and misak knowledge. In addition, this study encourages more research to understand our society in processes of change that influence physical space and cyberspace.
