O objetivo deste texto é contribuir para a discussão sobre a Pós-graduação focando o
impacto do REUNI – Programa de Apoio à Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades
Federais no perÃodo de 2008-2012, no âmbito da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPEL).
Buscamos na abordagem descritiva-qualitativa analisar os dados disponibilizados na
CAPES/INEP, e no GEOCAPES. Foi possÃvel compreender a nova configuração da
Instituição, destacando como resultado a qualificação docente; expansão e fortalecimento da
pesquisa, a partir do expressivo número docentes doutores e mestres vinculados à UFPEL,
sinalizando a preocupação da Instituição no fomento do sistema de Pós-graduação.
The aim of this paper is to contribute with the discussion of the Postgraduate focusing
on the impact of REUNI – Support Programme for Restructuring and Expansion of Federal
Universities in the period 2008-2012, under the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL). We
seek in the descriptive-qualitative approach to analyze data provided by CAPES/INEP, and
the GEOCAPES. It was possible to understand the new configuration of the institution, as a
result highlighting the teaching qualification; expansion and strengthening of the research,
from the expressive number of teachers with masters and doctorate linked to UFPEL,
signaling the concern of the institution in fostering Postgraduate system.
