Este artigo pretende demonstrar como a revista semanal Veja construiu a ideia de
inimigo nacional aos seus leitores durante os anos de 1968 e 1969. Neste perÃodo, a revista veicula
uma série de reportagens procurando identificar quem seriam os inimigos da nação e quais seriam
os seus objetivos. A publicação acaba por construir uma dualidade entre o amigo e o inimigo,
definindo um forte caráter nacional ao seu discurso. Pretende, ainda, formalizar o discurso da
ditadura civil militar em suas páginas, reafirmando a todo o tempo a existência de um clima
subversivo que ameaçava a integridade da nação, como justificativa ao discurso da ordem.
This article intends to demonstrate how the weekly magazine Veja built the idea of
national enemy to their readers during the years 1968 and 1969. In this period, the magazine
publishes a series of reports trying to identify who are the enemies of the nation and what are
your intentions. The publication seeks to build a duality between friend and foe, setting a strong
national character to his speech. It also seeks to formalize the discourse of civil military
dictatorship in its pages, all the while reaffirming the existence of a subversive climate that
threatened the integrity of the nation as a justification to the discourse of order.
