Este texto objetiva apresentar uma discussão sobre a educação na imprensa paranaense, resultado de pesquisa realizada com periódicos que circularam no estado do Paraná em meados do século XX. A imprensa tem sido tomada como uma importante fonte de pesquisa histórica principalmente por seu caráter educativo. Nossa fonte de pesquisa foi o Jornal Rio Negrenser Zeitung publicado entre 1910 e 1942, e a temática de enfoque foi a educação sexual. Os arquivos utilizados para catalogação e análise se encontram no acervo da Hemeroteca Digital da Biblioteca Nacional. Dentre as vinte matérias presentes no jornal, que fazem referência à educação sexual, podemos dividi-las em dois grupos: dos informativos e dos artigos educativos. Todas elas escritas pelo médico, sexólogo e andrologista José de Albuquerque, descrito como pioneiro da sexologia no Brasil e figura importante na escrita deste periódico.

This text aims to present a discussion about education in the Paraná press, the result of a research carried out with periodicals that circulated in the state of Paraná in the middle of the 20th century. The press has been taken as an important source of historical research mainly for its educational character. Our research source was the Jornal Rio Negrenser Zeitung published between 1910 and 1942, and the main focus was sexual education. The files used for cataloging and analysis are in the collection of the Digital Library of the National Library. Among the twenty articles present in the newspaper, which refer to sexual education, we can divide them into three types: informative, educational actions and articles. All of them were written by the doctor, sexologist and andrologist José de Albuquerque, described as a pioneer of sexology in Brazil and an important figure in the writing of this journal.
