Este estudo tem por objetivo fazer uma análise da narrativa “À procura da Dignidade” de Clarice Lispector a partir dos estudos do Imaginário desenvolvidos por Durand e seus seguidores. Também serviram de âncora as concepções bachelardianas e de Jung sobre as imagens que advêm do labirinto. O estudo pretende mostrar que, por meio dessa narrativa, Clarice Lispector expressa conflitos vivenciados pela protagonista do conto, a Sra. Jorge B. Xavier, um ser que vai emergindo de corredores sombrios, de espaços que lembram labirintos em que as tensões do ser/estar no mundo vão se intensificando à medida que a personagem vem à tona de si mesma. As imagens que suscitam no labirinto em que a personagem se perde/se encontra constituem-se em constelações de significados, expressos pelas antíteses do regime diurno da imagem.
This study aims to make an analysis of Clarice Lispector's tale “Seeking Dignity” from the Imaginary studies developed by Durand and his followers. Also anchored were Bachelard's and Jung's conceptions of the images that come from the maze. The study intends to show that, through this narrative, Clarice Lispector expresses conflicts experienced by the protagonist of the tale, Mrs. Jorge B. Xavier, a being that emerges from dark corridors, spaces that resemble labyrinths in which the tensions of being / being in the world intensify as the character comes to the surface of herself. The images that arouse in the maze in which the character is lost / are constituted in constellations of meanings, expressed by the antitheses of the diurnal regime of the image.
