Este artigo pretende evidenciar a relevância da inclusão, nos currÃculos escolares, de obras produzidas na região em que os estudantes vivem, pela importância da literatura como conhecimento também da realidade do entorno e da reflexão sobre a formação do cânone nacional. Assinala-se, nessa inclusão, o cuidado com os critérios de seleção de obras e uma reflexão sobre identidades culturais.
This article aims to highlight the need of including literary works produced in the region where students live in their school curriculum, due to the importance of literature as well as encouraging the identification of their reality and reflection on national canon formation. Both the criteria of selection of works and reflection on cultural identities are taken into consideration.
