Este artigo aborda reflexões acerca das políticas públicas dirigidas pelos órgãos culturais – a saber a Prefeitura do Recife, o Governo do Estado de Pernambuco e o IPHAN – e das respostas dos mestres e folgazões às demandas do arcabouço burocrático-administrativo a partir da patrimonialização da tradição. O objeto de estudo desta pesquisa foi definido a partir da prática profissional do Escritório Técnico do IPHAN em Olinda e defendido no programa do Mestrado em Preservação do Patrimônio Cultural do Brasil da instituição em 2020.
This article addresses reflections about the public policies headed by the cultural agencies, namely the Recife City Hall, the Government of the State of Pernambuco and IPHAN, and the responses of the masters and revelers to the demands of this bureaucratic-administrative framework coming from the patrimonialization of the tradition. The object of this research was defined from the professional practice of theTechnical Office of IPHAN in Olinda and defended in the Master Program in Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of Brazil of that institution in 2020.
