Este artigo tem como objetivo mapear algumas leituras do episódio épico-lendário do naufrágio de Camões e de como esse acontecimento reverbera em tantos outros poemas e poetas, tais como Almeida Garrett, Cesá-rio Verde, Almada Negreiros e Adília Lopes. Nesse sentido, ressalta-se o quanto a figura do herói-cantor dos feitos portugueses se transforma em uma espécie de imaginário sempre pronto a metamorfosear-se, assumindo diversas identidades e formas.
This paper aims to map out some interpretations of the epic-legendary episode of Camões’ shipwreck and how this event reverberates in numerous other poems and poets, such as Almeida Garrett, Cesário Verde, Almada Negreiros, and Adília Lopes. In this sense, it highlights how the figure of the hero-singer of Portuguese deeds is transformed into a kind of ever-shifting imaginary, always ready to metamorphose and assume various identities and forms.
