Este artigo apresenta uma análise sobre a literatura de agricultura familiar. Especificamente, objetiva investigar se agricultores familiares, produtores de orgânicos, localizados na cidade de São Paulo e adjacências conhecem e utilizam técnicas e ferramentas de gestão financeira e de planejamento estratégico na administração de seus negócios. O artigo compara o sistema moderno de agricultura com o familiar, ressaltando a importância deste último como um modelo de produção mais sustentável e eficaz em garantir a segurança alimentar, com base numa análise sobre as forças e fraquezas desse tipo de negócio.
Resumo Inglês:
This paper presents an analysis of a literature about family farming. Specifically, it aims to investigate organic family farmers, who are located in the city of São Paulo and adjacencies, know tools of financial management and strategic planning and if they use these tools in the management of their business. It compares modern agriculture system and family farming model, in order to emphasize the importance of family farming as a model of production more sustainable and effective in ensuring food security, based on analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the type of business.
