Este artigo é resultado de um projeto de ensino e pesquisa realizado por estudantes da disciplina de Administração do curso de Sistemas de Informação de uma universidade federal em Minas Gerais, cujo objetivo foi traçar um perfil das lojas de artesanato da região central da cidade de Diamantina-MG. A pesquisa de natureza quantitativa possui abordagem qualitativa em suas análises e, quanto ao objeto de estudo, a investigação ocorreu por meio de amostragem não probabilística, oferecendo ótimas estimativas da população estudada.

This article is the result of a teaching and research project carried out by students of the Management discipline of a federal university in Minas Gerais, whose objective was to draw a profile of the handicraft shops of the central region of the city of Diamantina-MG. The research of quantitative nature has a qualitative approach in its analyzes and, as far as the object of study, the investigation occurred by means of non-probabilistic sampling, offering excellent estimates of the studied population.
