O  Brasil  é  um  dos  países  com  maior  diversidadede  espécies  de  orquídeasecom  ampla  distribuiçãoem todos  os  estados,  onde  Alagoas  se  destaca  comgrande  diversidade  de  espécies. Porém,  apesar  dessa  grande diversidade relatada, sãopoucos os estudos na região agreste do estado sobre orquídeas. Neste sentido otrabalho teve por objetivo coletare identificar a espéciede orquídeaencontrada na reserva no município de Igaci,região agreste do estado, contribuindo  para  pesquisas  nessa  área.A  metodologia  seguiu  a  descrita  por  Cardoso  e  Israel,  onde  foram observadaspopulações  da família Orchidaceaesobre a  vegetação arbórea.  As  populações  dasplantas hospedeira  e  da orquídea  estudada  foram fotografadas  e posteriormente identificadas.  Aexsicata  daespécie  coletada foi  enviada  para identificação  porespecialista  na flora  local,do herbário  do  Instituto  do  Meio Ambiente  de Alagoas,  edepositada  no Herbário MAC. A mesmafoi identificada como Família Orchidaceae, espécie CatasetummacrocarpumRich. exKunth,e estava  sobre  plantas  adultas  de  Ouricurí(Syagruscoronata).Após  estudos,  verificou-sequeestaespécietinha  sido identificada  em  Alagoas  em  outrosdiferentes municípios  doestado,  sendo neste  municípiosua  primeira  ocorrência.Pesquisas sobre as orquídeas nativas deAlagoas sãorelevantes para a conservação e preservação dessas espécies. Tais informações mostrama importância deste levantamento para futuros estudos de identificação preservaçãodas espécies nativas, e em especial destas para nossa região.

Brazil is one of the countries with greater diversity of orchid species and with wide distribution in all states, where Alagoas stands out with great diversity of species. However, despite this great diversity reported, there are few studies in the agricultural region of orchids. In this sense, the work was to collect and identify the species of orchid found  in the reserve  in the municipality of  Igaci,  the  state  of  the  state, contributing  to  research  in  that  area. The methodology followed by Cardoso and Israel, where populations of the Orchidaceae family were observed on the tree  vegetation.  The  populations  of  host  plants and  the  orchid  studied  were  photographed  and  subsequently identified. The exscorts of the species collected was sent for identification by local flora, herbarium of the Institute of the Environment of Alagoas, and deposited in the Herbarium Mac. The same was identified as an Orchidaceae family, species Catasetummacrocarpumrich.  EXKUNTH, and  was on  adult  urrulurí  plants (Syaguscoronata).  After  studies,  it was verified that this species had been identified in Alagoas in other different municipalities of the State, and in this municipality  its  first  occurrence.  Research  on  native  orchids  of  Alagoas  are  relevant  to  the  conservation  and preservation  of  these  species.  Such  information  show  the  importance  of  this  survey  for  future  identification  studies Preservation of native species, and especially from these to our region.
