Este trabalho é resultado de reflexões sobre o processo de socialização das crianças em comunidades tradicionais. Como o saber tradicional é passado de geração para geração? Como os símbolos e modernidades se atualizam nessas gerações. Como o tradicional re-existe no moderno? São questões que nortearam o a leitura de textos a partir de categorias como: comunidade, sociedade, socialização e criança, que se desenrolaram neste texto. A comunidade camponesa ou rural sempre será tradicional na medida, em que resistir às transformações aceleradas da cidade, na media em que se adequar aos elementos urbanos mantendo características, fazeres e agires de gerações anteriores. Ela segue um tempo lento e compassado unicamente com sua lógica. A comunidade se transforma sim, mas, respeitando e resguardando valores ligados a terra, às águas, às árvores e ao próprio tempo do tempo. São esses laços e valores que permitem a re-produção e tradição da comunidade, enquanto comum-unidade e do modo de vida.

This work is a result of reflections about the socialization process of the children in the traditional communities. How is the traditional knowledge passed through generation to generation? How are the symbols and modernity bring up to date in these generations? How does the traditional reborn the modern? These are questions that had guided the reading of texts from categories as: community, society, socialization and child, which had been uncurled in this text. The peasant community or agricultural always will be the traditional while it will be able to resist the accelerated transformations of the city, in the measure of the adequacy to the urban elements, keeping the characteristics, doings and acts from the back generations. It follows a slow and trimmed time with its uniquely logic. The community does transforms itself, but, respecting and protecting values linked to the land, the water, the trees and the own time of the time. These are the bows that allow the reproduction and tradition of the community, while a common-unit, and its way of life.
