O presente artigo analisa a forma de atuação da Imobiliária Nova Londrina Ltda, no processo de constituição do municÃpio, bem como as três primeiras administrações municipais. Para esta pesqu isa, são analisadas fontes orais, a partir de entrevistas com antigos moradores da localidade e discutidas com a bibliografia pertinente. Nosso objetivo é apontar como surgiu o sentimento patrimonialista na cidade, onde o público e o privado se confundem d esde o inÃcio. Assim, podemos melhor compreender o cisma eleitoral de 1968 na cidade, que resultou na vitória do candidato da oposição com forte apoio popular e, posteriormente, cassado pelo governo Civil -Militar sob a acusação de subversão.

The present article examines the way performance of Nova Londrina Real
Estate Ltd., in the process of constitution of the city, as well as the first three
municipalities. For this research, are analyzed oral sources from interviews with former
residents of the locality and discussed with the relevant bibliography. Our goal is to
point how emerged the patrimonial feeling in the city, where public and private are
confused from the beginning. Thus, we can better understand the schism in the city
election of 1968, which resulted in the victory of opposition candidate, with strong
popular support and later revoked by the Civil-Military Government on charges of subversion
