ONFALOPATIA EM BEZERRO - RELATO DE CASO

Nesse trabalho apresentam-se referências teóricas sobre onfalopatias em bezerros e relata-se o caso de uma bezerra da raça nelore com 43 dias de vida produto de Fertilização in vitro. A bezerra apresentou inicialmente um quadro diarreico aos 14 dias após nascimento que foi tratado, porém não houve efetividade, o quadro evoluiu apresentando instabilidade de temperatura, desidratação, aumento de volume na região umbilical e sinais neurológicos levando-a a prostração e ser encaminhada ao HVET com 42 dias de nascida, onde, após a anamnese identificou-se aumento de volume na região umbilical com dor a palpação e sem estímulos aos testes neurológicos. Após resultados dos exames complementares a terapia foi iniciada, porém 6 horas após, o animal veio a óbito. Na necropsia identificou-se uma onfaloflebite levando a um quadro septicêmico, sendo a causa morte. Objetivou-se relatar o caso clínico de onfaloflebite em bezerra nelore com 43 dias de vida. Acredita-se que o quadro desenvolvido pela bezerra em questão foi motivado, pela falha de transferência de imunidade passiva.

In this work we present theoretical references about omphalopathies in calves and report the case of a 43-day-old Nelore heifer derived from in vitro Fertilization. Heifer initially had a diarrheal condition 14 days after birth that was treated, but it was not effective, the condition evolved with temperature instability, dehydration, increased volume in the umbilical region and neurological signs leading to prostration and being referred to HVET at 42 days of birth, where, after anamnesis, an increase in volume in the umbilical region with pain on palpation and without stimulation to neurological tests was identified. After results of the complementary exams, therapy was started, but 6 hours later, the animal died. At necropsy an omphalophlebitis was identified leading to a septicemic condition, the cause of death. The aim of this study was to report the clinical case of 43-day-old heifers in nephore heifer. It is believed that the framework developed by the heifer in question was motivated by the failure of passive immunity transfer.
