Este texto objetiva analisar o modo de vida e dinâmica de existência das crianças,
do povoado Barra do Pacuí, distrito de Ibiaí/MG, tendo em vista categorias como
região cultural, paisagem cultural, lugar e ciclos de vida. O texto propõe reflexões
sobre o modo de vida e suas relações com os espaços e lugares de existência. A
região cultural está inserida em vários contextos e sua analise e entendimento
depende de que ponto está sendo observado. Os espaços e lugares de vida
também são relativizados de acordo com os tempos e períodos de vida das
pessoas, aqui no caso das crianças. Os valores, crenças e costumes se alteram e
modernizam de acordo com os novos símbolos e informações que se adentram à
comunidade, seja por meios de comunicação, seja com a chegada de novas
pessoas ou daquelas que saíram e para ali retornam. As crianças, nesse contexto,
são as que primeiras a incorporarem essas novidades e serão também as primeiras
a transmitirem a outros, assim como transmitirão as características de sua
comunidade. Essa difusão de conhecimentos e viver da comunidade Barra do Pacuí
é reafirmada num círculo sucessivo em que crianças, entre ciclos, espaços e
lugares, confirmam as intenções nelas depositadas. Autores como Roberto Lobato
Corrêa, Zeny Rosendahl, Carlos Brandão e Yi-Fu Tuan fundamentaram
teoricamente a discussão sobre as categorias e dados coletados a partir visitas de
campo, com base na pesquisa participante do Prof. Carlos Brandão, embasaram as
informações da comunidade apresentada.

Resumo Inglês:

The objective of this text is to analyze the way of life and dynamic of the children’s
existence from Barra do Pacuí village, district of Ibiaí/MG, having in mind categories
as cultural region, cultural landscape, place and cycles of life. The text proposes
reflections about the way of life and its relation with the spaces and places of
existence. The cultural region is inserted in many contexts and its analysis and
comprehension depends on what point it’s been observed. The spaces and places
of life are also relativized in agreement with the times and periods of the people’s
life, in this case, children. The values, believes and customs modify themselves and
modernize in agreement with the new symbols and information that enters in the
community through the communication’s way or the arrive of new people or those
who left and returned. The children, in this context, are the first to incorporate these
new features and also be the first to transmit to the others as they transmit the
characteristics of their community. This diffusion of knowledge and living of Barra do
Pacuí’s community is reaffirmed in a successive circle where the children between
cycles, spaces and places confirm the intentions deposited. Authors as Roberto
Lobato Corrêa, Zeny Rosendahl, Carlos Brandão e Yi-Fu Tuan had based
theoretically a quarrel on the categories and collected data from the field’s visit,
based on the research participating of the Prof. Carlos Brandão had based the
information about the community presented.
