Neste artigo, analisamos as relações entre a reificação do indivíduo e o esfacelamento da identidade como formas de crítica a contextos de autoritarismo e de consumismo exacerbado, presentes no conto “Ascensão e queda de Robhéa, manequim & robô”, inserido no livro O ovo apunhalado (2001), de Caio Fernando Abreu. No conto, ficção científica, alegoria e morte se articulam e produzem uma sutil crítica social.

In this paper, I analyze the relations among the reification of the individual and the destruction of the identity such as forms of criticism at contexts of authoritarianism and of exaggerate consumption, presents in the short story “Ascensão e queda de Robhéa, manequim & robô”, inserted in the book O ovo apunhalado (2001), of Caio Fernando Abreu. In the short story, scientific fiction, allegory and death are articulating and produce a sutil social criticism.
