Com o mercado de trabalho altamente competitivo, as empresas têm buscado cada vez mais por profissionais qualificados na execução de suas funções, atendendo as expectativas da empresa e aos anseios da sociedade. Assim, não satisfeitas com seu atual quadro de funcionários, optam por demissões sem justa causa, sem ater com os seus futuros gastos com o processo. Diante disso, a presente pesquisa teve como principal objetivo analisar quais são os principais impactos financeiros causados pela demissão de funcionários em uma empresa comercial na cidade de Mossoró-RN. A pesquisa caracteriza-se por um estudo de caso, de caráter descritivo e de natureza qualitativa, sendo realizado em uma empresa comercial na cidade de Mossoró. Os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário aplicado ao gerente de recursos humanos. Com os resultados, foi possível observar que a principal causa das demissões é a redução de custos. Verificou-se também que a gerente da empresa em questão possui conhecimentos sobre as consequências causadas pelos gastos que o processo de demissão envolve e os considera relevantes.

With the highly competitive labor market, companies have been looking for qualified professionals in the performance of their duties, taking into account the expectations of the company and the yearnings of society. Thus, not satisfied with their current staff, opt for dismissals without just cause, without with your future expenses with the process. Therefore, the present study as the main objective to analyze what are the main financial impacts caused by the dismissal of employees in a commercial enterprise in the city of Mossoró-RN. The research is characterized by a case study, of descriptive character qualitative nature, being carried out in a commercial company in the city of Mossoró. The data were collected through a questionnaire applied to the human resources manager. With the results, it was possible to observe that the The main cause of layoffs is cost reduction. It was also found that manager of the company in question has knowledge of the caused by the expenses that the dismissal process involves and considers relevant information.
