Este artigo analisa as
diretrizes de atuação dos jesuÃtas em
atividade no Estado do Maranhão e
Grão-Pará durante o século XVII.
Além disso, propõe relacionar o
reduzido número de religiosos na
Missão com a crise de vocações
apostólicas vivenciada pela Ordem no
Estado do Brasil. Desta forma,
pretende-se lançar luzes sobre os
reflexos do dualismo existente no
interior da Companhia de Jesus em
função da opção pelas Missões
indÃgenas ou entre as atividades
ligadas ao âmbito dos Colégios da
Ordem.
This article analyses the
actuation directives of the Jesuits in
activity in Estate of Maranhão and
Grão-Pará in the seventeenth century.
Furthermore, it proposes to relate the
small number of religious in the
Mission with the crisis of the
apostolic vocation experienced by the
Order in Estate of Brazil. Thus, it is
intend to give light on the reflections
of the dualism existent inside the
Society of Jesus due to the option
for the indian Missions or between
the activities related to the Schools
of Order.
