Neste artigo, pretendemos
analisar como as atividades do Primeiro
Congresso Nacional do Negro,
realizado em Porto Alegre no ano de
1958, relacionaram-se com os interesses
polÃticos partidários oriundos,
principalmente, do PTB – Partido Trabalhista
Brasileiro. Para concluirmos o
objetivo deste trabalho, utilizaremos
entrevistas realizadas com pessoas
que conviveram e sofreram a influência
petebista na comunidade negra
porto-alegrense na década de 1950,
ANAIS da Assembléia Legislativa e
da Câmara Municipal de Porto Alegre,
ATAS de reuniões da Sociedade
Floresta Aurora, o Diário Oficial do
Estado, o periódico Correio do Povo,
correspondências pessoais, além de
uma bibliografia adequada.
In this article, we seek to
analyse how the activities of the First
National Black Congress, that happenned
inthe city of Porto Alegre
(1958) were related to the interests
of the political parties, especially of
those originated from the PTB (Brazilian
Labour Party). We used to this
work the interviews of people that
witnessed and knew the influence of
the PTB in the porto-alegrense black
community in the 1950’s, as well as
the annals of the Legislative Assembly
of the Rio Grande do Sul and of
Porto Alegre City Hall, the minutes
of the meetings of the Sociedade Floresta
Aurora, the Rio Grande do Sul
Gazette, Correio do Povo Newspaper,
personal letters and an appropriated
bibliography.
