Este artigo analisa a Polícia Militar, enfatizando suas práticas e praticantes nos modos relacionais de controle social interno e externo da instituição. Investe-se na compreensão do cotidiano relacional dos policiais militares em suas atividades diárias localizadas nas fronteiras simbólicas do Quartel. O intento concentra-se em descrever e analisar mecanismos formais informais de produção, administração, resolução e/ou acirramento de conflitos nas relações entre superiores e subalternos, sobretudo aqueles relacionados aos enquadramentos disciplinares, sindicâncias internas realizadas e suas instâncias informais, nas tramas sociais de institucionalização dos “erros” dos internos e suas consequências. A descrição e análise contida aqui é resultado de intensivo e extensivo trabalho de campo etnográfico realizado com policiais militares na Região do Cariri, situada ao Sul do estado do Ceará. O trabalho de campo inclui um período de observação sistemática numa das Companhias de Polícia Militar da Região realizada entre janeiro e setembro de 2015 e, também, a análise de documentos internos produzidos lá, tais como boletins, sindicâncias e fichas de policiais.
This article analyzes the Military Police, emphasizing their practices and practitioners in the relational modes of internal and external social control of the institution. It invests in understanding the relational daily life of military police officers in their daily activities located at the symbolic borders of the Barracks. The aim is to describe and analyze informal formal mechanisms for the production, administration, resolution and / or intensification of conflicts in relationships between superiors and subordinates, especially those related to disciplinary frameworks, internal investigations carried out and their informal instances, in the social networks of women. institutionalization of inmates 'errors' and their consequences. The description and analysis contained herein is the result of intensive and extensive ethnographic fieldwork conducted with military police officers in the Cariri Region, located south of the state of Ceará. The fieldwork includes a period of systematic observation at one of the Region's Military Police Companies conducted between January and September 2015, as well as the analysis of internal documents produced there, such as newsletters, inquiries and police records.
