Este artigo objetiva analisar, a partir da perspectiva da Semântica Histórica da Enunciação, um recorte da carta V, Informação das Terras do Brasil (1549), de padre Manoel da Nóbrega. Nesta investigação, analisa-se o acontecimento de enunciação, o espaço de enunciação e a cena enunciativa da passagem selecionada. Além disso, analisa-se a designação dos nomes Tupane, em língua tupi, e Deus e Pae Tupane, em língua portuguesa, enunciados no mesmo recorte. Tal estudo propõe uma análise enunciativa de interesse sobre o funcionamento da linguagem, e permite novas interpretações, que constroem sentidos outros, sobre aspectos pontuais da colonização jesuítica e portuguesa do Brasil no século XVI.

This paper aims to analyze, from the perspective of the Historical Semantics of the Enunciation, a clipping from the letter V, Information of the Lands of Brazil (1549), by priest Manoel da Nóbrega. In this investigation, the event of enunciation, the space of enunciation and the enunciative scene of the selected passage are analyzed. Moreover, the designation of the names Tupane, in Tupi language, and Deus and Pae Tupane, in Portuguese language, that are enunciated in the same clipping, is analyzed. This study proposes an enunciative analysis of interest on the functioning of language, and allows new interpretations, which construct other senses, on specific aspects of the Jesuit and Portuguese colonization of Brazil in the 16th century.
