Este artigo analisa o decurso histórico do Palacete Visconde da Palmeira, impor tante símbolo doperíodo áureodocaféparaacidadevale-paraibanadePindamonhangaba. TendocomofonteosartefatosmateriaispresentesnasmostrasdoPalacete, queatualmente abriga o Museu Histórico e Pedagógico da cidade, é possível observar as transformações sociais que este lugar de memória testemunhou ao longo de sua história.
This article analyzes the historical course of the Palacete Visconde da Palmeira, an important symbol of the golden period of coffee for the city of Pindamonhangaba, in the Vale do Paraíba. Having as a source the material artifacts present in shows held at the Palacete, which currently houses the city’s Historical and Pedagogical Museum, it is possible to observe the social transformations that this place of memory has witnessed throughout its history.
