A sociedade vem passando por mudanças contínuas, entre as quais as decorrentes dos avanços, cada vez mais velozes, das novas tecnologias. Isso implica uma formação diferenciada do trabalhador pertencente a esse novo contexto social. Nessa perspectiva, as organizações escolares de educação profissional de nível técnico vêm sendo questionadas quanto as suas formas de atuação ao formar o cidadão para o merca-do de trabalho do século XXI. É sobre essa problemática que gravita o presente artigo.

The society is continually changing because of the impact made by the advent of the new technologies that are permanent shifting our society e faster and often. As a consequence of these changes the workers that are inserted in this reality had to get a specialized education. Based on this approach the Professional Educations Institutes (colleges) have been questing themselves the way they are structuring the knowledge of the citizens in order to insert them in this new society order of the XXI century. This is the approach that had been taken into consideration on this paper.
