The main goal of this text is the reading about the characters Paraguaçu and Moema from Caramuru (1781) by Santa Rita Durão and Iracema (1865) by José de Alencar based on the essays Dos canibais (1584) by Montaigne Do contrato social (1762) and Emílio (1762) by Rousseau drawing attention to the otherness of the indians into the New World and especially the otherness of the woman. In the other hand the Déclaration des droits de la femme et de la citoyenne (1791) by Olimype de Gouges and the feminism of the third wave bring a hard criticism to the occidental tradition.
