O presente artigo visa apresentar a parceria feita entre a Defensoria Pública do Estado do Pará e a Universidade Federal do Pará, por meio da Clínica de Direitos Humanos da Amazônia. Além das atividades de pesquisa sobre o tema central do plano de trabalho, e levantamento doutrinário, jurisprudencial em âmbito internacional e normativo, as ações irão se concentrar no enfrentamento das violações ocorridas no polo industrial, portuário e minerário do Município de Barcarena e nas medidas judiciais e extrajudiciais da implantação da ferrovia no Estado do Pará, que irá percorrer áreas de proteção ambiental ocupadas por populações tradicionais.
This article aims to present the partnership between the Public Defender Office of The State of Pará and the Federal University of Pará, through the Human Rights Clinic of the Amazon. In addition to the research activities on the central theme of the work plan, and a doctrinal, jurisprudential research in an international and normative scope, the actions will focus on facing human rights violations occurring in the industrial, port and mining center of the Municipality of Barcarena and in the judicial measures and out-of-court settlements of the railroad in the state of Pará, which will cover areas of environmental protection occupied by traditional populations.
