This article examines how the creation of Entrenubes park has been important in the strengthening of several social movements from the south-east Bogotá, Colombia. However, the creation of the park also generated conflicts over local land use planning and conservation strategies established for the protected area. In additon, the impact of social and political processes that have helped build the current landscape of the area, has been partly disclaimed during the park's management by the environmental authorities of Bogotá.
